Char Siu

Making Char Siu the western way.

The meat is cooked hanging in the oven and the pan to catch the drippings. Try to cook them the way my dad did. He made the best char siu hanging them over a charcoal stove.

Sis said: After marinating the pork for several hours, we put it in a baking tray, covered with foil then put in oven for at least more than an hour. When cooked, pour a bit of honey on it and let it turn golden without the foil. Tastes very good.
