Harvest from the Garden

I am still harvesting the daikons every Weekend for my soup.

We have some sweet and delicious corns from these plants which we planted some time back.

No wonder they are called Wild Flowers. They are growing wild and as tall as the trellis.

This cantalope plant just sprout from the ground.

I think this may be a ginger plant. Like the cantalope it just sprout from the ground.

Sis said: your daikon looks fabulous. Incidentally we are making daikon/carrot/pork bones soup with plenty of white pepper corns. Remember mom would put pig stomach in the soup. The stomach is too much trouble to clean and not very healthy. However brother Loke and WL love pig stomach soup.

yeah, i hate that daikon soup which mom used to make. cantalopes are cheap here. i pluck one last weekend but it was not ripe. cannot buy pig stomach in the store. i might try the soup because sometimes we cannot used the whole daikon.

Sis said: yesterday we were at the supermarket. We found out that the price of daikon is more expensive than the local white radish. We bought the white radish. Pig stomach is difficult to clean. lots of fat on the lining.
