The gloomy sky |
This weekend, the weather has not been cooperating. It has been raining on Saturday and Sunday we had a few sprinklers, so it has not been a good day to be out in the vegetable garden. But since we have the hoop house, I can crawl in and thin out the daikons.

Altogether, I pulled out 60 plants, they were be used in the next batch of Miracle Soup |

Leaf lettuce from the garden. I will cook them with garlic and part used as a salad. It is so satisfying to eat vegetables from your own vegetable garden |

Your vegetables look so healthy and green. 60 plants is a lot, what about the rhizome? Did you just cut the leaves?
Is your burdock root growing?
there is no rhizome yet. I pulled out the whole plant to thin them out. We seed a whole pack and almost all sprouted. We bought two truck loads of compost from a landscape company to amend the soil.
I planted the burdock root and but did not start the seeds yet.
