Buddha
3:31 PM |
This Buddha I bought some years ago and he must sit high and have no clutter around him so I place him on the fireplace mantel. There is a butterfly in his hands and it is a real butterfly. It landed on the windshield wiper of John's truck while he was crossing the bridge. JJ remove it and instead of throwing it away, we place it in the Buddha's hands, maybe to give it life again :) Its wings are still intact.

Evening Bags
Here are the evening bags I told you about
These I bought from the Thrift Stores. The middle one I bought a few years ago for $2.50 and in very good condition. I thought the right small black bag is very cute.
These two are very plain but I like the chains
The top three I bought from the antique mall for $8 each and here is a close up of the one I first collected.

Burdock Roots
2:10 PM |
Since I used Burdock Roots every week for my special soup, we decided to plant them ourselves as they are very hard to find in the stores and quite expensive. We ordered some seeds on line and prepared the ground, dug up the dirt and loosen them, as the roots grow three to four feet down. We have been successful so far.

Planted with onions
The roots grow straight down about three feet and they need loose dirt, so we built an enclosure pile it with dirt and let them grow
