Things I baked

I am very proud of myself this weekend.  I baked an apple pie and made about three dozens oatmeal raisins cookies. This week the cookies turned out the way I like them, chewy and not flat.

Daikon to be used for my 5 Vegetable Miracle soup. The daikons sold in the supermarket here do not have the leaves which I need, so I have to grow my own daikons.

Things I find in the Thrift Store

My favorite pasttime is going to the Thrift Store every weekend and look for other people's trash but my treasure. I will post all the best stuff I found while browsing and digging in the thrift stores.

My two little one cup coffee makers. The one on the left has been with me for over 15 years and endured a trip overseas. I bought it for 0.99 cts in the City Rescue Mission and the other I found it recently. I have to get it as it is very difficult to find one in such good condition and I have a spare in case my old faithful quits on me.
My find this Saturday, a Bissell, Little Green carpet cleaner to clean up my dog's accident.

My Bissell Little Green
One of my obsession, mini choppers, the most handy kitchen tool for small quantity chopping

Black & Decker - $3.00 works real good
This weekend, January 15th our thrift store had a 1/2 off sale. This leather jacket catches my eye as I entered the store. I bought it for 1/2 price.

It was in very good condition, no tear in the lining or the leather. The label said "Genuine Leather".  It was a good buy.

Three pairs of earrings cost $.50 a pair. Nowadays you cannot buy anything with $.50 but in a thrift store you still can buy something beautiful.

My dog "Buddy"

A yellow labrador, bring us joy and hair all over the house.

He will greet us everytime at the door and then pick up two to three bones in his mouth and walk around the house.

Relaxing in the backyard
Poor dog, have to be fitted with a collar after his surgery as he was licking his wound too much.  Look so sad but he was pampered so much

Waiting patiently to get into the vegetable garden
